Nearly five years ago I expressed a wish about relocating...and nearly five years later not only am I in the same country, but I am in the same home.
Well that will be changing at least as tonight we signed the lease to a bigger home.
Yesterday though I said to my partner that we have spent too much time wasting about thinking about doing something, but actually doing nothing about it.
I said to him that we need to set a time limit of five years and look to actually do something in that. It will either be a move up to the far north of Scotland or moving abroad.
Others have managed it, so I do not see why we cannot manage it.
Though I think I will really have to pester him as he is a worst procrastinator than what I am.
So for now what I am planning on doing is while I am in the process of moving house:
- Both of us are going to make a list of the countries that we would like to live on and get one that we can both agree on (as much as I would like to live in France, my partner really does not seem interested at all) He would like to live in Australia and he has family that might be able to help us out, but I am not sure about that either.
- On the list we are to point out the pros and cons about moving there.
- Look at eachothers list and work out where we both want to move to.
- Create a moving fund and starts saving money (moving will be expensive)
Here is to a fresh start
